DONATING TO MMC: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why appeal for Donors?
Some of the world’s poorest people live in the Asia Pacific Region. This region is one of expansion for Australian Marists. However, new project funding requests continue to draw on funds, so we continue to appeal to you, our friends and benefactors to remember us in your generosity towards charities and development aid. There is a choice of possibilities for assisting the children, women, the disadvantaged and people with disabilities of the Asia Pacific region. Currently MMC is involved in many projects in 16 countries in the region.

What are we appealing for?
We are appealing to your generosity of spirit, to give what you can spare to those in dire need. We would also be grateful if you could remember us in your will. All bequest monies go into the MFIM (Marist Fathers International Mission) account.

Where does the money go?
Donors are assured that ALL of your donation goes towards the projects of AMCOA (Australian Marist Centre for Overseas Aid), which also generates a tax-deductable receipt. No administrative costs are incurred with AMCOA donations. Your gift reaches those who need it directly and enhances their lives in various ways, especially in health and education.

When do you donate?
Anytime. Donations are always welcome! MMC sends out a quarterly newsletter in April, June, August and November to all our registered donors. We also send our donors a ‘Cycling for Seminarians’ appeal every January. The money from this appeal goes to support Seminaries. We do annual church appeals in Australia (NSW, QLD, VIC & TAS), in Marist parishes only.

Who are our Donors?
Ordinary Australians who are extraordinarily generous, caring people.
